  • We offer professional Kettle Bell instruction with over 5 years experience of Kettle Bell coaching.
  • Both TGF owners played high school and college athletics. They have over 30 years of combined sports specific Performance Training.
  • We offer Sports Performance Training for middle school, high school, and college athletes.
  • We have programs catering to Special Needs children.
  • TGF offers training packages for Senior Adults to improve balance and strength.
Scott Sims

Co-Founder / Fitness Coach

Scott attended Brockport State University in Rochester, New York. At Brockport State he studied Exercise Science and played college basketball. To help pay for college, he joined the ARMY Reserve and completed Infantry School at Fort Benning, Georgia. The ARMY taught him that discipline and dedication are needed to make it through rigorous training.

Scott started his career in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer at New Mexico Sports and Wellness. One of his major accomplishments at NM Sports and Wellness was helping a female client, Marsha McGuire drop 100 pounds. In 1999, he made the move to Phoenix and became a Fitness Director for 24 Hour Fitness. In 2005 he was promoted to District Fitness Manager for 24 Hour Fitness, and would oversee all the fitness departments in the greater Phoenix area. All of this experience led Scott to opening Top Gun Fitness in North Phoenix.

Scott’s Education and Certifications include:

  • State University of New York at Brockport (Bachelor of Science)
  • NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine)
  • ISMA (International Sports Medicine Association)
  • ACE (American Council on Exercise)
Tom Bass

Co-Founder / Fitness Coach

Tom Bass was raised in a small town outside Philadelphia. Growing up, sports and the outdoors were the main focus. Tom attended Shippensberg University, where he played football and graduated with a degree in Sociology.

After Tom’s competitive days his focus and passion became personal training. Tom decided that his destiny was to head West and move to the desert.  After several years of working for large corporate gyms, Tom and Scott left their management positions to fulfill their dreams of opening Top Gun Fitness in Phoenix.

Tom’s education and certifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from Shippensberg University, PA
  • Attended the School of Exercise, Training and Science (http://www.setsaz.com/) in Phoenix
  • NSCA Certified
  • NASM Certified
  • NESTA Certified
Devonna Touchine

Personal Trainer

Devonna grew up in Gallup, New Mexico with a passion for sports and fitness. In high school, her focus was playing Varsity Basketball and Volleyball. In 2012, she moved to Phoenix to begin studies in Criminal Justice. Devonna was introduced to Top Gun Fitness in 2012. It was then that she found her true calling and passion, which is fitness and helping others to be healthy. Devonna then pursued NASM education and certification.

Devonna’s educations and certifications include:

  • Criminal Justice- Paradise Valley Community College
  • NASM/ Next Level Certification
Dawn Lewis

Yoga Instructor

Dawn attended Pima College in Tucson, where she received her 2 year degree in Nutrition, and then gained a bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

An active woman for her entire life, Dawn has participated and competed in many sports including swimming, volleyball, and cheerleading.  Always searching for something new, Dawn was introduced to Yoga while pregnant with her daughter, and was hooked…mentally, physically and spiritually!

Exuberant and kindhearted, Dawn has the natural ability to connect with her students, and to share her experience and joy with her students.
